A radio documentary feature commemorating the victims of Tiananmen Square.

It contains first hand accounts of the brutal massacre by the Chinese armed forces against students and other peaceful pro-democracy protesters in Tiananmen Square between June 3-4, 1989.

Central to the creation of this work is a clandestine tape-recording of testimony by student leader Chi Ling. The production uses a rich variety of audio and written documentary materials, including accounts by Amnesty International, original testimony by a Chinese student who was in the Square and who is now living in Australia, and from an Australian who was in Beijing at the time.

Written, produced, presented by Cathy Peters with technical production by John Jacobs for The Listening Room, ABC FM, Australian Broadcasting Corporation, 1995
